Where
Mt. Claret
Students advance their spirituality through questions of: Who am I? Who is Jesus? What is my relationship with Jesus?
Fourth Day of Kairos
On the fourth day of Kairos, the profound experience culminated in the question, Living the Fourth: How will I bring my relationship with Jesus out into the world?
Students discuss how to continue their journey and live this Fourth Day for the rest of their lives.
The depth of sharing is real and sometimes raw. Adults are always on hand to provide help and mentorship.
Xavier’s Kairos consists of student leaders and adult guides. The student leaders give talks and lead small group discussions.
Non-Catholic students are encouraged to attend. Kairos is a retreat centered on a relationship with Christ, but not restricted to Christians. Non-Christians attend to learn more about Christianity, as well as to share heartfelt experiences with their classmates.
Students enjoy getting away from their everyday life in Phoenix. In the mountains, there is no homework, no phones, and no internet. It makes space for them to experience the life-altering retreat of Kairos in God’s time.
As Kairos alums say, “Live the fourth!”
