Class Notes Update

Historically, Xavier’s Class Notes has been featured in our Connections magazine. In a conscious effort to go green and maintain Xavier’s STEAM goals, Class Notes is now available online. Similarly, in order to maintain continuity as well as keep our community informed the featured notes will be updated twice a year (January and July). As the feature note is updated the prior will be archived as a viewable PDF available at all times. Class Notes featured prior to May 2017 are available through our Office of Alumnae Relations and are physically archived on campus in the Xavier Archive.

2011

Christian Andreen is a Physician Assistant with Dr. Andrew Haber, a Yale trained child and adolescent psychiartist. She is married to Adam Van Vianen and they welcomed Ada Joy on August 10, 2020.

2010

Renee Rosati is in her last year of training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she specializes in a little known field called physical medicine and rehabilitation. She has brought faith and hope to patients facing medical problems or functional impairments. She incorporates art, music and garden therapy to bring creativity to the austere environment of the hospital and enhance the patient experience.

2010

Deanna Johnson married Jorge Ravelo on September 19, 2020 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Chandler, Arizona. Stephanie Cullan ’10 was a bridesmaid.

2013

Katie Haenel works for the San Francisco based footwear company, Birdies. She works on the Digital Marketing team and touches many facets of the brand. Birdies is a female-owned company with a strong position to lift women and girls up.

2010

Alexa Harnisch is an inpatient hospital pharmacist at Honor Health and was featured as a Hometown Hero.

2012

Denise Malkoon and brother Jeff Malkoon BCP ’05 are co-owners of Americano Foods, the makers of Americano nut butters and third-generation Phoenicians of Lebanese descent. They donated 100% of online proceeds for the month of September to organizations helping the victims of the devastating explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.

2011

Camaley Patrick Jennings works for the United Nations World Food Programme / Share the Meal. The globe’s largest humanitarian organization was recently awarded the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize. Camaley has been working for WFP Share the Meal based in Berlin for the past six years and was just recently transferred to San Francisco where she manages Strategic Partnerships. “Prior to the pandemic, one of the best parts of living in Berlin has been the amazing number of XCP friends who have stopped off and spent time with me during their European travels.”

2014

Marissa Baker graduated from Creighton University and last year joined HMA Public Relations as a junior account coordinator. Marissa is assisting with digital communications, social media management, media relations and supporting HMA’s account executive team.

Dominique Caruso Paplaczyk and husband Clayton welcomed Greyson Andrew on July 21, 2020.

Mackenzie Koss married Steven Oleksak in Paradise Valley, Arizona on March 28, 2020.

Erin Bratton contributed to a book written by fellow alumna Haley Scott DeMaria ‘91, Advice from a Patient, Insights From Those Who Needed Care for Those Who Provide Care. Erin is a Referral Coordinator at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Erin just received her Master of Healthcare Innovation from the ASU Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.

2012

Katrina Duran graduated from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in May. She also celebrated her first wedding anniversary with husband Mason Burchfield.
