PREREQUISITE: Must have completed Advanced Textiles, and approval of teacher

This course is designed to allow the student to learn while assisting the instructor in all aspects of teaching a textiles class. This one
semester class may be taken only once. Pass/Fail.

ADVANCED TEXTILES

PREREQUISITE: Creative Textiles.

Open to Xavier & Brophy Seniors (preference), Juniors, Sophomores; enrollment limited

In this class students continue to develop skills and techniques needed in the production of decorative textiles for the home and
wearing apparel. Students must purchase own supplies

CREATIVE TEXTILES

CODE: TEXTILES CR SEMESTER: 1st or 2nd CREDIT: .50

Open to Xavier & Brophy Seniors (preference), Juniors, Sophomores; enrollment limited

In this class students are helped to develop skills and techniques needed in the production of decorative textiles for the home and
wearing apparel. Students must purchase own supplies.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT

CODE: CHILD DEV SEMESTER: 2 nd CREDIT: .50

Open to Xavier & Brophy Juniors and Seniors only

This course deals with the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of the child from before birth to adolescence.
Practical parenting and learning theories are included.

FOODS AND NUTRITION T.A.

CODE: FOODS TA SEMESTER: 1st CREDIT: .50

PREREQUISITE: Must have completed Foods and Nutrition, and approval of teacher

This course is designed to allow the student to learn while assisting the instructor in all aspects of teaching a Foods & Nutrition class.
This one semester class may be taken only once. Pass/Fail.

FOODS AND NUTRITION

This course encompasses the science of nutrition, principles of food preparation, and consumer practices. Students are introduced to
cooking experiences utilizing conventional methods of preparation. Emphasis is on health and wellness as related to diet.
