Dani Knight Commanda, husband Charlie and big brother Ezra welcomed Emerson Margo on April 3, 2021. 

Shannon Clancy was recognized as an Outstanding Woman In Business by the Phoenix Business Journal. She is the Associate CEO and Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Hayes James Cardosi was born on March 28, 2021. Kim Batstone Cardosi and husband Cam are the proud parents.

Genesis Canizales received a full ride to Smith College and completed her freshmen year online due to the pandemic. She spent this past year serving a pandemic gap year working for Girls Hope Boys Hope as a National Volunteer Corps service member. Now, it is back to Smith College!

The NCAA National Championships for Beach Volleyball 2021 Title were played in Gulf Shores, Alabama this past spring. Xavier grads were well represented and most starting for their respective teams: Trinity Cavanaugh ’19 TCU, Abby Converse ’20 Stanford, Claire Coppola ’16 LSU, Macy Gordon ’17 Cal Poly and Caroline White ’18 TCU.

Areta Buness played lacrosse at Xavier and Stanford University. She was inducted into the Arizona Lacrosse Hall of Fame this past spring.

Abby Breidenbach is a reporter at KOMU-TV in Comumbia, MO.

Jamie Pootrakul Boggs is the Vice President of Athletics for Grand Canyon University, having assumed the role on April 26, 2021. In her role, she oversees all day-to-day department operations. She also serves as the sport administrator for baseball, men’s basketball, men’s golf and men’s soccer.

Alexandra Bhatti was named Director, U.S. Vaccine Public Policy at Merck and Co.

Xavier was chosen as a finalist for Best Private School in the AZCentral – Arizona Republic Best of the Desert 2021 contest!

The Xavier Alumnae Board held an All Alumnae Reunion on campus on April 15, 2021.We were so excited to have an in-person event and see friends again! Plenty of refreshments and Xavier swag.
