Class Notes Update

Historically, Xavier’s Class Notes has been featured in our Connections magazine. In a conscious effort to go green and maintain Xavier’s STEAM goals, Class Notes is now available online. Similarly, in order to maintain continuity as well as keep our community informed the featured notes will be updated twice a year (January and July). As the feature note is updated the prior will be archived as a viewable PDF available at all times. Class Notes featured prior to May 2017 are available through our Office of Alumnae Relations and are physically archived on campus in the Xavier Archive.

Kevyn Garcia is working for a tech startup headquartered in Phoenix. She was in Boston and San Francisco prior to moving back to Phoenix in 2020. She married Keeghan Lavin on November 12, 2022 in Phoenix. Tatum Swallow ’12 was a bridesmaid and several alumnae attended the wedding.

1978

Some of the members of the Class of 1978 met with Paula Tessier who was visiting from Massachussetts. Mary Bedell Rosinke, Marie Jackson, Paula Tessier, Nancy Hobbs-Ekberg and Beth Treon Orton.

1976

Maria Martin Anderson, Suzi Figueroa, Sharon Murphy Hulet and Cathy Corrigan Frank from the class of 1976 meeting to catch up!

1992

What are the odds of a chance meeting between two Xavier 1992 grads and their families at Pismo Beach? Amy Lorenzini Wren and Melanie Laux Burm ran into each other on the boardwalk. They also reconnected at the Class of 1992 30 Year Reunion last fall.

2021

Citali Chimal spent time in Tanzania last summer with GIVE, Travel with Purpose voluteer organization. She learned to basket weave with the local women, play soccer with the local kids on the beach, enjoyed a fascinating safari, and finally climb and summit to the highest peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro and all of Africa! Her next adventure is to be an intern at the Arizona State Senate.

Nadia Khan is a second year medical student at Creighton University in Phoenix. She hopes to become an endocrinologist and is doing research this summer.

Genevieve Johns Seivert was named Sustainer of the Year for the Junior League of Phoenix.

2005

Amaris Benavidez is the higher education Professional Staff Member for the Committee on Education and Labor in the U.S. House of Representatives.

2009
