Class Notes Update

Historically, Xavier’s Class Notes has been featured in our Connections magazine. In a conscious effort to go green and maintain Xavier’s STEAM goals, Class Notes is now available online. Similarly, in order to maintain continuity as well as keep our community informed the featured notes will be updated twice a year (January and July). As the feature note is updated the prior will be archived as a viewable PDF available at all times. Class Notes featured prior to May 2017 are available through our Office of Alumnae Relations and are physically archived on campus in the Xavier Archive.

Nancy Grucky is retiring from teaching fourth grade at St. Francis after 30+ years, and 25 years in room 4 B. She is pictured here with Sarah Behring ’15. Sarah was a fourth grade student of Mrs. Grucky and a teaching partner with her in fourth grade!

1999

Val Pearson Fitz-Gerald and Stephanie Getsinger Ellsworth share lots of time at the softball fields at St. Frances. Their daughters are on the same team!

Tara Froelich is starting a new position as Public Relations and Digital Marketing intern at J. Waylon & Associates.

2018

Karly Espinosa just completed her master’s degree in biomedical engineering maintaining a 4.0 and working at her current engineering position.

1987

2023

Xavier College Preparatory seniors Ximena Parra Rourke, Sara Klemmer, and junior Hope Smith are recipients of the 2023 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing National Honorable Mention Awards. They are three of only 400 students selected nationwide for technological achievements.

2022 alumnae come back to campus to speak at the Mothers’ Guild meeting in January about their experience of going to college. Moms asked questions and the girls assured them that all will be okay, and gave great tips to make the transition go smoothly.
