Class Notes Update
Historically, Xavier’s Class Notes has been featured in our Connections magazine. In a conscious effort to go green and maintain Xavier’s STEAM goals, Class Notes is now available online. Similarly, in order to maintain continuity as well as keep our community informed the featured notes will be updated twice a year (January and July). As the feature note is updated the prior will be archived as a viewable PDF available at all times. Class Notes featured prior to May 2017 are available through our Office of Alumnae Relations and are physically archived on campus in the Xavier Archive.

Alexis Carbine is an Ambulatory Cardiology Registered Nurse at the Mayo Clinic.
Morgan Miller married Matt Schaffner in Ireland. They live in downtown Greenville.
Jamie Castro was nominated for a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for the Limited Series “Inventing Anna”.
Catherine Alaimo is new Senior News Editor at The Hoya, Georgtown’s student newspaper.
Peg Barney-O’Neill Perl is serving as Chief Deputy Clerk & Recorder in Jefferson County, Colorado. In addition to her day job as a local government official, she was selected as a US delegate for an International Election Observation Mission for the 2023 Presidential Election in Uzbekistan.
Mimi Merrill lives in Greenwood Village, Colorado with her husband, Dan Skeehan, and their four kiddos – Claire (16), Sammy (14), Matthew (10) and Madeline (8). She is a portrait photographer and substitute teacher (which has given her immense appreciation for all of all prior teachers!!!). They spend time cheering on the Bigs at their volleyball tournaments, the Littles at their soccer games, exploring the country, hiking, camping, skiing and serving in their church. Still so proud to be a Xavier gator!
Hallie Mae was born to Laura Scheel Grodsky and husband Matt on November 29, 2023.Sister Lily is very excited to be a big sister!
Xavier was busy with Thanksgiving community service projects! The Mothers’ Guild made Kindness Kits for Circle the City, Key Club packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child and National Honor Society hosted a bake sale with the proceeds going to the canned food drive at St. Vincent de Paul. The Canned Food Drive set records. Thank you Gators!
Lilly Pallares-Norman lives with her husband in north central Phoenix in a home built in 1963.They have three fur-babies whom they love. They travel extensively and love visiting different countries and cultures, and recently celebrated their 31-year anniversary.
Her hobbies and interests include: traveling, English equestrian riding, antiques shopping, decorating, planning events and entertaining, hiking, hot yoga, Pilates, reading, and researching/planning trips. She loves food, spa days, furry animals, music from the 60’s and 70’s, everything weddings, old world architecture and locations, vintage furnishings, interesting objects, and almost anything “old school”. She owns Songbird Vintage Décor located at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. It is a beautiful vintage décor retail shop.
Maggie Hull graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University in June 2023 with a B.S. in Economics and minors in Computer Engineering and Gender Studies. She interned for Nanya Technology and joined them full-time in June 2023. She will attend graduate school in the fall at the University of Michigan.
Michelle Curtis Harris, center, is honored to be the Chairman of the Opening Night Gala for the San Francisco Ballet’s 2024 Season. This is the inaugural season for the new artistic director of the San Francisco Ballet, Tamara Rojo.
Amye Farag is The Associate Director for Quality Improvement in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Loma Linda University. She has worked there as an emergency medicine physician since August 2022. Amye married in January 2023 with one of her XCP besties by her side as her bridesmaid, Meghan Cassidy who is pictured with her.
