Xavier Softball Defeats Millennium 14-0. Highlight Video.

Xavier Softball completed their sixth shutout of the season with a dominating 14-0 victory over Millennium Wednesday afternoon at Xavier’s Petznick Field.

Freshman Sydney Root took the mound for this game, improving her season record to 4-0 with a 2.33 earned run average. Emphasis: a freshman. She allowed just one hit, walked zero batters, and struck out six.

Sophomore Sariah McNabb took best-hitter honors for this game. She went 3 for 4, with three doubles, five RBIs, and three runs.

Senior Riley McKeever and Junior Avery Fleet finished with two hits each. Only two players with multiple plate appearances went hitless in the game, so many Gators shared in the offensive production that resulted in the lop-sided score.
