Xavier Beach Volleyball Blanks Chaparral, Now Ranked #3 in Division 1

Xavier Beach Volleyball defeated Chaparral 5-0 last night, improving their record to 7-1 and moving up to #3 in Division 1.

Xavier’s only loss this year has been to #1-ranked Sandra Day O’Connor. The next highest-ranked opponent Xavier has played is Highland (#7), whom they beat 3-2.

The Gators have blanked each of the other six opponents 5-0. The highest-ranked team they shut out was #15 Desert Mountain.

Xavier’s Remaining Schedule

The Gators have four remaining non-tournament matches. Three of those four teams are currently ranked in the Division 1 top-ten: Desert Vista (#5), Millennium (#9), and Corona del Sol (#10).

This weekend, Xavier plays in the CatBox Classic Invitational down in Tucson. On Sunday, they better get some rest. Next Monday is the beginning of three matches in three days. All three opponents are currently ranked in the top ten for Division 1.
