Xavier Lacrosse Defeats Higley, Now 2-2 on the Season

March 19, 2025

Last night our Xavier Varsity Lacrosse team beat Higley with an outstanding score of 10-5! They are now 2-2 on the season. Their two losses came at the hands of the only two undefeated teams in the league.

Our Gators on attack did an amazing job with Sophomore Mackenna Packer having five goals and four assists. Additionally, Junior Sammy Schubert had a total of three goals and Sophomore Mia Calihan had one assist.

On midfield, Junior Amelia Busch had a great game with twelve draws won. Another goal was made by Sophomore Keegan Packer and one assist by Junior Claire McCloskey.

The Gators also had a great game defensively, with stand-out performances by Senior Libby Donaldson and Junior Goalkeeper Zoie Alexander, who had ten saves.

Way to go Xavier Lacrosse!

The Lacrosse team will be very busy next week, playing on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Friday and Saturday are home games on Petznick Field.
