Xavier sends Badminton, Cross Country, and Mountain Biking to their State Championships this week: Monday 10/28 through Sunday 11/3.

XAVIER BADMINTON

Xavier Badminton is ranked #4 in State.

AIA Division 1 Badminton Championships:

Round 1: Monday 10/28, vs #13 Mountain View. Xavier won 6-0.
Quarterfinals: Tuesday 10/29 at Xavier @ 4:00 PM
Semifinals: Thursday 10/31, if they advance, 4:00 PM at the home gymnasium of the High Seed.
Final: Saturday 11/2, if they advance, 9:00 AM at Desert Vista High School.

Xavier Badminton is led by their top two players: #1 SR Maggie Henry and #2 Corinne Ladha. Henry took 4th place in the State Singles tournament this year. Ladha teamed up with #3 Reagan Perez in the Doubles tournament. They were the only unranked doubles team to reach the quarterfinals.

XAVIER CROSS COUNTRY

Xavier Cross Country is tentatively ranked #10 going into this week’s Championship meet.

AIA Division 1 State Cross Country Championships

Saturday 11/2 at Cave Creek Golf Course @ 8:55 AM

If you plan to go to the meet, A IA State Championships Spectator Information is a must-read.

Xavier will be led by JR Ella Wadsworth, SR Kaitlyn Markham, and SR Maggie Mostoller; all State Meet veterans. Last year, for scoring purposes, Wadsworth finished in 22nd place, Markham 15th, and Mostoller 28th.

BROPHY/XAVIER MOUNTAIN BIKING

Brophy/Xavier Mountain Biking is ranked #6 in Division 1.

Arizona Cycling Association Mountain Biking State Championships

Sunday 11/3 at Wren Arena, Fort Huachuca @ 9:45 AM

State Championships Information

On the girls’ side, Brophy/Xavier will be led by their top two point-getters, juniors Catherine George and Clara Findlay. Last year, Brophy/Xavier took 3rd place at State.
