The Xavier Volleyball team travels to Las Vegas for their annual trip to compete in the Durango Fall Classic Tournament, September 20 & 21. This tournament is considered a premier national high school tournament as it draws over 60 high schools, representing 11 states from Hawaii to Florida (California, Nevada, Kentucky, Florida, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Hawaii, Illinois, Nebraska, and Idaho).
But that’s not all. According to a MaxPreps article written by Aaron Williams, ten of the top 25 nationally-ranked prep volleyball teams are committed to this looming battle in Vegas. Xavier enters the tournament ranked 24th. The Gators have won all six matches and all 18 sets to start the 2024-25 season. Below is the Xavier blurb from the linked article above:

Friday introduces Stage 1, where 16 groups of four teams engage in Pool Play. On Saturday morning, teams play one qualifier match to determine which of the eight 8-team brackets they will play in the rest of the day. Of course, the goal is to play in the Championship Bracket.
The Rules and Format page on the tournament website provides an excellent description of the layout of the tournament.
On Day 1, Xavier plays at 1pm, 3pm, and 6pm. Links to the schedule / results will be provided on the Volleyball team page so you can follow the Gators throughout the tournament.
